Carpenter Nature Center is located in the St. Croix Valley on 725 acres of protected and restored natural habitat. The Nature Center is open to the public, 361 days a year from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for learning about nature. The nature center provides K-12 environmental education curriculum to 7,000 visiting school children on an annual basis. Public programs and events are attended by thousands more visitors. Admission to the site is free and the admission fee for programs is kept as low as possible to ensure accessibility.

Carpenter Nature Center is also home to the Junior Girl Scout Nature Bench, which is part of the Art Bench Trail located in the St. Croix Valley.
