An Evening in the Prairie Walking Tour Series

Are you considering converting your land to prairie, but not sure where to start?

Participants will learn about what plants and animals create a thriving prairie ecosystem, prairie management strategies and maintenance schedules, managing drainage and erosion issues, how to create habitat for birds and wildlife, and technical and financial resources available for prairie conversion and restoration.

Experience a prairie throughout the seasons:

Summer Prairie Walk – July 11th, 5-7 pm

Fall Prairie Walk – September 26th, 5-7 pm

You can register for one or both walking tours!

Attendees will be expected to walk up to one mile. Wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared to stand for longer periods of time (you are welcome to bring a camp chair for your use!). This is a family-friendly event, but please leave the dogs at home. Access to a bathroom will be limited.
