Geology of the St. Croix with Special Guest

Join guest geologist Terry Boerboom of the Minnesota Geological Survey to explore the incredible events that formed the park’s iconic cliffs and glacial potholes. Then, fast forward millions of years as you walk to a rare park feature where two chapters of geologic history collided.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the park through the eyes of a geologist.

This guided walk is about two miles and includes uneven rocky terrain, short stairs and one hill. This program is best for ages 12 and up. Pre-registration is required for this special program. Please email jenni.webster@state.mn.us to reserve a spot (maximum of 20 participants).
