School of Rock offers a variety of dynamic music instruction and artist development programs to engage students of all skill levels, from beginner to intermediate/advanced and also adults. School of Rock teaches guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards, drums, and combines weekly private music lessons with group band rehearsals to prepare students to take the stage in front of live audiences. Through their innovative curriculum and community atmosphere, School of Rock students not only have a blast learning music, they develop problem-solving and teamwork skills that cross over into other areas of their lives. School of Rock helps young and aspiring musicians define themselves and develop the tools they need to rock their world…and ours.

The rock-style reggae band Ipso Facto, was formed in 1986 by three brothers: Wain, Juju, and Greg McFarlane. The McFarlane brothers were raised in Worthington, Minnesota, by their Jamaican father who loved reggae and their African-American mother who loved gospel. The siblings sewed these influences into a unique danceable pop hybrid. Since 1986 when the band was formed the group has toured with everyone from UB40 to Tracy Chapman throughout the years. As the brothers drifted apart, the band was left to Wain, who disbanded the group in 1998 to pursue other projects and deal with family related health issues. However, due to popular demand, the band has reassembled and is once again engaging audiences with their unique blend of gospel, rock-style reggae.
This activity is made possible, in part, by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
