In this introductory class you will learn about the history, chemistry, the basic equipment and application of different types of natural dyes.
Natural dyes are colors derived from plant, animal, or microbial sources and have been used for centuries to create beautiful and diverse textiles. You will also get the basic how-to’s preparing and using natural dyes on various fabrics and will leave the class with information to successfully try natural dyeing at home.
