October Living History Days: Death Customs of the 1800's

Delve into the very personal and macabre customs surrounding death in the 1800’s.

Visit with costumed interpreters, watch historic demonstrations, and view artifacts as you enjoy a self guided tour through the museum complex and examine 1800s death customs with a display of postmortem photography and proper mourning materials.  Learn about death etiquette and hear local lore of lives lost. Doors open at 11am-4pm Saturday & Sunday. Tours run on the hour.
