Meet friends and walk scenic trails at your own pace for fun, fitness and friendship. NSTT walks are leisure-time activities for people of all ages, alone or in groups, with no competitive requirements but plenty of awards. There is a $2 fee.
On September 23, NSTT will hold a walk event at the Sunrise unit of the park, which is at the northern end of the park.
The area has two loops that start and end at the picnic area near the St. Croix River. One loop is a rustic 4k and an easy route to walk though you need to watch for horses and riders on the trail. The other loop is a long 8k through hardwood forests, prairies and goes by the remnants of a railroad that was never completed.
