Both of these accomplished artists work in relatively secluded rural environments where they have the ability to create “in the moment.” In these serene places they are able to focus on each piece in an uninterrupted and intimate way to produce well thought out and inspired work.

Hannah draws inspiration from her local area in rural southeastern Minnesota. Her paintings, both plein air and studio creations, are “a study and a record of place, time and season, as she attempts to capture a fleeting and changing view.”

Nick, located in the Brainerd Lakes Area, creates beautifully designed functional pottery that is meant “to be held, used and examined.” We are excited to see his new earthenware work that bares the same precision and intentionality as his porcelain work. The new pieces appear edgy and graphic while maintaining the structure and architectural appeal of all of his work.
