“Native Seeds: Supplying Restoration” Film Screening

Presented by St. Croix River Association at St. Croix Falls Public Library

This film reveals the importance of native species and investigates the steps needed to supply native seeds by exploring the native seed supply chain in the western United States. The film features footage of seed collectors, farmers, researchers, and land managers working to scale up the supply of native seeds to meet the growing restoration demand. As climate change intensifies, the world is seeing a staggering scale of damage to vast landscapes. This film will introduce you to tenacious people who are finding creative, scrappy solutions to restore ecosystems.

6:30 pm: Social with light refreshments from Wild River’s Conservancy.

7:00pm: Film Screening

8:00pm – 8:30pm: Discussion with plant expert Alex Bouthilet, Seed Farm Manager with USFWS, will host a Q+A after the screening.
