Young Scientists Become Birders

Young Scientists Become Birders

Presented by Interstate State Park - Minnesota at Interstate State Park-Minnesota

Kids, bring your adult with you for a morning of hands-on outdoor exploration. You’ll play games to learn birds and bird songs, then grab a pair of park binoculars and head out on the trail to look for them with the naturalist. Before you go home, you’ll get tips on how you can continue the outdoor adventure in your own backyard and even share what you find with others.

This program is best for ages 7-11, but older or younger siblings are welcome to follow along. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather and pack a snack. We will walk less than a mile, with some uneven ground along the way. Meet at the park’s visitor center.

Admission Info

This program is free, but a Minnesota State Parks permit is required on all vehicles enetering the park ($7 daily or $35 annual).
