Presented by St. Croix RiverFest and Carpenter St. Croix Valley Nature Center and The Phipps Center for the Arts and Hudson Area Library and St. Croix County Historical Society at Hudson Bandshell

Hudson’s 7th annual St. Croix RiverFest celebration is set for July 16-21. RiverFest “A Party with a Purpose” is designed to inspire people of all ages to get out and celebrate the St. Croix River while recognizing the need to preserve and protect the river’s health and beauty.

RiverFest is a six-day celebration with a variety of family friendly activities. Starting on Tuesday, July 16th, with the riverfront clean-up, Carpenter Nature Center animal ambassadors and the Toonies ENVIRO-FUN puppet show in the evening. Wednesday’s events include a Naturalist at the Library, Yoga in the Park and an Evening Prairie Hike. On Thursday, July 18th the St. Croix Valley Community Band concert is the featured event. On Friday there is Tai Chi in the Park and the RiverFest Nature Boat Cruise with a naturalist. Saturday is a Kids Fishing Derby and the Native American Celebration and a new Woodland Echoes program with Native American food tasting and a performance by Woodland Sky. RiverFest wraps up on Sunday, July 21st with the Hudson Inclusion Alliance’s Longer Table community potluck, and the Octagon House Museum’s Civil War Encampment.

Admission Info

Most of the RiverFest activities are free and open to the public. Some events require reservations due to limited space. The RiverFest Nature Boat Cruise and the Woodland Echoes are ticketed events.

RiverFest pre-events:

The State of the St. Croix River (Free and open to the public) on Thursday, July 11, 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Hudson Area Library. Join us for a RiverFest kick-off presentation and learn about the state of the St. Croix River.

Native American Day at Family Fresh Market on Saturday, July 13, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at
 Family Fresh Market – Hudson with samplings of Native inspired foods and free recipes.
