2020 History Program:

Celebrating 100 Years of the Women’s Vote: A Midwest Perspective on the Activists Who Fought for Women’s Rights

The history of the American woman’s rights movement favors the East coast; however, women associated with the Midwest reveal this region was instrumental to forming social movement actors who positively impacted the long-term American woman’s rights movement, and include African-American and American Indian women. Their stories enlarge our understanding of women’s rights and suffrage activities in the Midwest.

All proceeds from this event benefit the Historic Courthouse Restoration Fund. Enjoy a scrumptious tea while helping to preserve this historic landmark! A portion of the quilt and tea sales will also benefit the Restoration Fund.
