Candlelight Night at Wild River State Park

Candlelight Night at Wild River State Park

Presented by Friends of Wild River State Park at Wild River State Park

Snow or no snow, this is an event not to be missed.  Trails from the Trail Center to the Visitor Center and to the Picnic Area are lit by luminaries.  In addition there is a huge bonfire and  entertainment plus cookies, cider, and hot chocolate at the Visitor Center. The event is free to the public, but a state park pass is required.

Helping the park staff with this event are members of Friends of Wild River State Park and National Honor Society students from North Branch High School.

The DNR has identified Wild River State Park as one of the top cross-country ski experiences in state parks, and this Candlelight Night has been held continuously since 1997, making it the oldest continuous such event sponsored by a state park in Minnesota.

This is winter family fun at its best.
