Winter Family Weekend

Presented by Osprey Wilds Environmental Learning Center at Osprey Wilds Environmental Learning Center

We provide a full schedule of activities, meals, and lodging so you can relax and enjoy the long weekend.

Activities:

Sign up for ice-climbing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, high-ropes, kick sledding, broomball, cross-country skiing, nature hikes and more. Learn about wolf ecology, animal tracking, and winter survival skills.
Stay cozy inside with some laid-back fun: nature journaling, arts and crafts, talent show, cookie decorations, or just enjoy some hot chocolate by the fireplace. Our barn is like nothing you’ve seen before. Meet and learn about our rescue animals: Hawks, owls, an eagle, reptiles, even our porcupine, Spike. Venture upstairs to climb on our indoor rock climbing wall.

Lodging:

Yurt: this cozy canvas shelter is 0.3 miles from the parking lot and is equipped with a wooden platform, wood-burning stove, and outdoor bathroom. Rugged, yet snug.

Cabin: this rustic cabin has a small parking lot, electricity, wood-burning stove, and an outdoor bathroom. Perfect for a winter escape.

Crosby or Lowry Lodge: these lodges are fully equipped with electricity, running water, and heat, and can accommodate up to 8 people per room. ADA accessible rooms are available.

Commuters: Don’t need to stay the night? Join us for our daily activities and meals at a discounted rate

Rates:

All-inclusive rates (includes 3 nights lodging, 9 meals, and programming):

2 people family (1 room) = $650
3 people family (1 room) = $900
4 people family (1 room) = $1125
5 people family (1 room) = $1325
6 people family (1 room) = $1500
7 people family (1 room) = $1650
8 people family (1 room) = $1775

Children ages 3 and under are no charge
(and don’t count in family size above)

Your accommodations will include a private room for each family,
in Crosby Lodge or Lowry Lodge, depending on family size.

Commuter rates (meals & programming only, no lodging):Adults =$225
Children =$165 (ages 4-18 years),
no charge for children 3 and under

Option for winter camping families:

Yurt Option: Commuter Rates total + $100/family (Limit 1 family; please phone in registration)
Our rustic yurt is about 1/3 mile ski/sled from parking lot; canvas structure on wooden platform, has wood stove heat, no electricity, no running water, has outdoor toilet, folding tables and wooden benches but no other furnishings (cots can be supplied)

Wetlands Cabin Option: Commuter Rates total+ $125/family (Limit 1 family; please phone in registration)
Our rustic log cabin has a small parking area; has electricity and wood stove heat, no running water, has outdoor toilet, folding tables and chairs but no other furnishings (cots can be supplied)

You’ll find our accommodations are perfect for a weekend of adventure, relaxation and retreat.  Each spacious room in Crosby or Lowry Lodge has bunk style beds and sleeps up to 6 or 8 people (each family has their own room).  Delicious, healthy, scratch-made meals, each carefully prepared with creativity and taste, are served in our large dining room with beautiful stone fireplace and wonderful views of the woods and lake.
