Make a Worm Bin: Turn Kitchen Scraps into Compost!

Make a Worm Bin: Turn Kitchen Scraps into Compost!

Presented by River Market Co-op at River Market Community Co-op

Tuesday, February 25

6:30-8pm

Composting worms are an excellent way to get rid of kitchen scraps and avoid sending them to the landfill, while making nitrogen-rich fertilizer for your garden! Join Pete Widin as he shares the benefits of making compost with worms, how to do it, and how to use the resulting fertilizer in one’s garden. You will leave the class with a step-by-step plan to create your own worm bin at home, and know-how about reducing the waste stream in your household while composting year-round.
