In the featured mini-documentary, the student filmmakers investigate security cameras. Are they salvation or invasion?
Join us at StoryArk Screening of Student Short Films. These curiosity-driven stories follow the investigations of things we know little about. The featured mini-documentary was inspired by Stillwater-based author Spike Carlsen’s upcoming book, A WALK AROUND THE BLOCK: 30 THINGS YOU SEE EVERYDAY AND KNOW NOTHING ABOUT which will be published by Harper Collins in late 2020. The student’s mini-documentary will brings Spike’s Popular Science title to life in the investigation of security cameras. Are they salvation or invasion?
This event is offered as part of ArtReach St. Croix’s NEA Big Read in the St. Croix Valley. NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. In April 2020, we are encouraging everyone to read LAB GIRL, by Hope Jahren and join St. Croix Valley neighbors in a month of programs and activities related to themes found in the book.
