Outdoor Play Reading: Rip Van Winkle

Outdoor Play Reading: Rip Van Winkle

Presented by Stillwater Zephyr Theatre at Stillwater Zephyr Theatre

For the first time since starting the series nine years ago in Twin Cities arts spaces, this will be play reading by actors (fitting since the series is now based at a theatre) of a whimsical tale of a family and village of colorful characters carrying on when Mr. Van Winkle disappears for 20 years in a magical sleep and when he comes back trying fit in.

It has a life size puppet among the human cast, humor, mistrust, forgiveness and reunion – a new version of the classic story by acclaimed playwright Seth Bockley of St. Paul.
