"Parallel Pandemic" Short Film Premier

Presented by ArtReach St. Croix and StoryArk at The Phipps Center for the Arts

Parallel Pandemic is an original creation of StoryArk’s Shush team. The short film was inspired by the Big Read’s 2019 novelĀ Station Eleven. A group of middle school boys wrote the script and acted the roles. High school students shot and edited the final 2-minute film.

During the StoryArk event on April 28, the Shush team will host listening sessions and screenings of their other works. It all started as part of NEA Big Read in the St. Croix Valley 2017. A four episode radio play entitled, “Don’t Whine Over Missing Robots” then transitioned to video with two webisodes staring Samantha Shovel and her pet Trowel with a zany cast of characters. There will be a Q&A with the artists before the World Premier of Parallel Pandemic.
