Stella=star; Roma=gypsies. Two uniquely talented musicians combine ancient and future, East and West, into a stirring mix of “progressive world music” with experimental flavors. Greg Herriges plays (and sings into) his guitar and Greek bouzouki with a unique approach honed by his studies of Asian and other international styles. Michael Bissonnette juggles an array of global percussion including cajon, frame drums, glockenspiel, and Aztec death whistle. The music ranges from ancient Mediterranean folk to Western pop, worldly surf-jazz, and high-energy all-of-the-above originals. You’ll hear unusual renditions of familiar tunes, and be treated to some of the most compelling new sounds.
General Admission is $15 purchased online (plus fees). $20 at the door.
