Join Greg Lecker for a walk and talk around the gallery as he discusses his work, process and inspiration.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Greg’s talk has to be canceled. Please plan to attend the 6:30pm talk with Tanya Piatz on 6/16 and/or the talk with Charlotte Schuld on 6/23.
“Connecting Art and Nature and Community has been integral to my artistic practice for nearly twenty years. My work embodies the physicality of exploring water and its environment. Understanding its nature requires that I be fully present to observe subtlety. While I paint, I am sorely aware of the transience of nature’s phenomena: changing light, flowing water, melting ice, and fleeting time.”
Greg’s work is part of Birds, Trees, River – considerations of the environment on view at ArtReach St. Croix Galleries May 19 – June 25.
Thursday evening gallery activities are made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
