For landowners, bird nerds, and curious community members: learn about the St. Croix River Valley’s unique bird community!
From songbirds to sandhill cranes, chickadees to broadwing hawks, birds are a critical component to the health of the St. Croix River Valley and its communities. On Friday, May 17th at 7 p.m., join fellow landowners, public leaders, and community members in learning about the ecological significance of birds and how we can restore and protect bird habitat in our watershed. Retired WI DNR avian ecologist Kim Grveles will introduce you to key residential and migratory birds and outline strategies for healthy bird habitat management.
You’ll leave the presentation with a greater appreciation for the vibrant avian community in our region, as well as with materials to help you support the bird community in your own backyard.
This presentation is hosted by The Horst Rechelbacher Foundation, with help from Lily Springs Farm and the Osceola Community Health Foundation, and is in recognition of the ecological restoration and community-building efforts of individuals and organizations throughout the St. Croix River Valley.
Tickets are free, but seating is limited so please reserve spots on our Eventbrite page.
