Almost Full Moon Snowshoe in the Bird Sanctuary

Almost Full Moon Snowshoe in the Bird Sanctuary

Presented by North Country Trail Association - Brule-St. Croix Chapter at Douglas County Wildlife Area

The moon will be 92% full on Saturday March 4th. Come snowshoe the North Country Trail in the Bird Sanctuary under the light of the nearly full moon. We will snowshoe from Bird Road to Rover’s Lake campsite and return for about 2.8 miles.
We will park/meet on Bird Road PAST the Bird Road Trailhead where the North Country Trail crosses Bird Road at 6:00 p.m. From US HWY 53 going south, turn right on County Road M, right on Bird Road, go past the trailhead 2 – 3 tenths of a mile. See the map.
Your hike leader will be Glen, a member of the North Country Trail Association’s Brule-St. Croix chapter. Please bring what you need to snowshoe, poles, snacks, water, and dress in layers. Most of the snowshoe is in a fairly open area, great for a full moon hike. The picture was taken at the location on Saturday February 25th. On the off chance, the weather does not cooperate, please watch MeetUp for possible cancellation Sign up at https://www.meetup.com/sscbhikers for update
