Living with or caring for a loved one with dementia? Attendees to this workshop will learn important new skills to improve communication.
If you’re a caregiver for a person living with dementia, communication can be jumbled and confusing for everyone involved. Learn new skills to improve communication with your loved one from media professionals Cathy Wurzer from MPR and TPT and Karla Hult of KARE-11. Both cared for fathers who suffered from the debilitating effects of dementia. They’ll be joined by artists from Tane Danger’s improv group.
Cathy is the founder of End in Mind Project, a non profit dedicated to helping people become more comfortable with uncomfortable topics like serious illness, grief, loss and death and dying. Karla is the founder of So Many Goodbyes, a mentoring service for families dealing with dementia.
